Motorcycle training Shop

To obtain your full motorcycle licence (sub-category A) you must take a DSA practical test, prior to taking the practical test you will need to sit the DSA theory test, this is the only part of the training that you need to organise directly with the DSA. You will need to take a theory test if you want a licence for a new category of vehicle, for example, if you have a car licence and you want a motorcycle licence you will need to sit the theory test.

Direct Access Scheme

Direct access is a scheme that allows a person over the age of 21 to take a test on a machine of at least 35 kW (46.6 bhp). A pass allows you to ride any size of bike. Any instruction given on a machine that exceeds the normal learner motorcycle specification must be supervised at all times by a certified motorcycle instructor who is in radio contact and guess what our instructor is a fully qualified DSA approved DAS instructor. You must also display L-plates and wear fluorescent or reflective safety clothing. The ratio of students to instructor on DAS course’s will never be more than 2 to 1.

The duration of the training can range from two to four days depending on competence and these can be consecutive or pre-arranged dates to suit you. You will be assessed and informed of the duration required to achieve the test standard. Your test will be on the final day of your course and will include training time prior to test.

Although most students prefer to complete DAS within a week, your training days can be arranged at your convenience, not necessarily consecutive days. Check out our DAS prices.
